Deputies pulled a man to safety Thursday after he was found clinging to a capsized boat in the Cowlitz River.


Drivers rush to help deputy during fight with suspect on Highway 26

As a Clackamas County sheriff’s deputy was caught in a brawl in the middle of the highway, good Samaritans saw what was happening and rushed to help. The first man who jumped into action was Keith Ward. He’s the owner of Keith’s Sporting Goods in Gresham. He said when he saw what was happening, it was a split reaction to help the deputy.

Proposed gun control measure closer to being on Oregon's November ballot

A proposed gun control measure took another step towards being on Oregon’s November ballot on Thursday. The Oregon Attorney General certified the ballot title put forward by the group “Lift Every Voice.” After weeks of feedback, Oregonians now know how Measure 43 will be worded if enough signatures are collected.
