CAMAS, Wash. -- Five stolen cars were plucked from Lacamas Lake on Tuesday. With water level low at this time of year, boaters can find nearly anything in area lakes. Police said one of the cars was partially visible to a passing boater Tuesday, leading officers and a dive team to begin removing the cars from the lake.Corey Bihm saw his car Tuesday for the first time in two months. His Honda Civic, along with two Acuras, a Chevrolet Tahoe and another Honda, were all brought to the surface by authorities.Bihm said the car can be replaced, but there was more inside than just the car parts."My graduation cap, my senior year yearbrook, my dad's $600 camera, there was a lot of stuff in there," Bihm said. "A lot of my time too."Camas police said it's the second time they have pulled cars from the lake. A police press release described the site as a "stolen car graveyard."The small lake, which is 2.4 miles long and less than a quarter of a mile in width, is a popular fishing, swimming and water skiing spot in southwest Washington.Officers are working to track down all the owners of the stolen cars. Bihm, however, said he's ready to move on.
"I was planning to get it back, but from what I've seen I don't really want it back," he said. "It's got a lot of damage to it … I guess it's just gone now."Police have not identified any suspects in the case. Two of the vehicles were stolen in Portland three in the greater Vancouver area.
