BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Kuni Automotive announced Friday that it will close its Cadillac Saab dealership in Beaverton.

The dealership, located on Cedar Hills Boulevard, will close its sales, service and parts operation on Saturday. The Kuni Collision Center will stay open at the same address and expand its operation.

A statement from Kuni Automotive said the company plans to pursue redevelopment opportunities for the dealership's land and buildings.

Greg Goodwin, Kuni's CEO, said the closure comes as a result of discussions with General Motors and the automaker's consolidation of its existing dealer network. Goodwin said the decision won't have any effect on any of the other dealerships in the Portland region.

It's unknown how many jobs will be lost because of the Cadillac Saab dealership's closure.

Kuni owns 10 other automotive dealerships, including Lexus of Portland, Kuni BMW and smart Center Portland.
