Stockton, CA -- (Sports Network) - Sam Willard scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Pacific Tigers to an 82-76 victory over the University of Portland Pilots in a first round bout of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament at the Alex G. Spanos Center. Chad Troyer added 18 points in the win for Pacific (20-12), while Bryan LeDuc and Michael Kirby chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Tigers. Nik Raivio posted a game-high 25 points to lead the way for Portland (19-13), while T.J. Campbell tallied 13 points and Luke Sikma chipped in 10 points off the bench in the losing effort. The Pilots shot at a blazing 65.2 percent from the field during the opening period to open a 41-36 halftime lead. But the Tigers responded in the second stanza with a 68.2 percent shooting clip and a 16-of-25 effort at the charity stripe to earn the six-point win.
