School Board To Hear Ideas On High School System
Public Invited To Weigh In
At Monday's Portland School Board meeting, staff will propose three "big ideas" for reshaping the district's high school system.The presentation is open to the public and will be broadcasting live on Channel 28. The meeting is at 7 p.m. Monday, at the Blanchard Education Service Center, located at 501 N. Dixon St.In the coming weeks, the PPS High School System Design team will solicit input on the ideas online and at three meetings.The first is a school leadership meeting on Monday, April 20, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Wilson High School, located at 1151 S.W. Vermont St. This meeting is for members of school support groups, including PTAs, site councils, local school advisory councils, booster clubs and foundations.The second is a community meeting on Wednesday, April 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Franklin High School, located at 5404 S.E. Woodward St.The third is a community meeting on Saturday, May 2, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, at the Madison High School, located at 2735 N.E. 82nd Ave.
