Guidelines For Submitting Community Events

FOX 12 Oregon offers the community calendar to support local charitable efforts in Oregon and southwest Washington, with a primary focus on community events/activities for the attendance of the general public.

To be considered for the community calendar:
  • The organization should be a registered IRS 501 (c) (3) nonprofit. KPTV's community calendar's priority is non-profit events.
  • Be located in NW Oregon or SW Washington, where FOX 12 Oregon is broadcasted.
  • Identify the event or activity to be included on the community calendar. Include the organization name, date of event or activity, cost (if applicable), the purpose of the event/activity, and contact information for the organization or event (name, phone number and email address).
  • Submit a request online at www.kptv.com at least TWO weeks in advance of the event/activity.

Review Process
  • All requests are reviewed weekly by the FOX 12 Oregon Web staff.
  • FOX 12 Oregon Community Calendar requests are evaluated based on the organization's ability to meet FOX 12 Oregon's guidelines, with consideration of prior commitments made to organizations with a similar purpose.
  • The FOX 12 Oregon Community Calendar is not designed to promote political, religious, or labor/fraternal organizations; sporting leagues/clubs; schools; or individuals.
  • FOX 12 Oregon reserves the right to decline any request received, per the established guidelines and/or space availability.
