Dirty Dining: Nordstrom's Response

POSTED: 10:07 am PDT March 24, 2008

Nordstrom's issued the following response after its last health inspection, which resulted in a failing grade:

At Nordstrom, the health and safety of our customers is our number-one priority. We take these issues very seriously and we apologize to our customers for falling short in this instance. When these issues were discovered on January 17, we corrected them immediately. The very next day, the cafe at our Washington Square store received a follow-up inspection by the original inspector, and we received a perfect score on our inspection report.

Nordstrom restaurants and espresso bars work hard to adhere to all health department safety and sanitation requirements. We provide all hourly employees with initial point-of-hire training as well as ongoing training to assure the safe handling of all food products.
