HILLSBORO, Ore. -- Two 13-year-old girls video taped themselves bullying another teenager, leading the pair to be suspended from school, police said Tuesday. The students from Brown Middle School in Hillsboro approached a 16-year-old student from Century High School who was on her way home last Thursday. At least one of the two girls began touching the 16-year-old, who police said is shy and petite."You wouldn't think that two middle-schoolers would harass a sophomore," said Travis Hill, a Brown Middle School student. The harassment wasn't sexual in nature, police said. One of the girls used a video camera to record the bullying."She was hugging her a lot and the girl didn't appreciate that," said Elizabeth Oganyan, another Brown Middle School student.A school resource officer said the girls planned to show the video at school or post it online, but teachers found out and foiled their plan. School officials notified police, who said the case has been forwarded to a juvenile prosecutor with the recommendation of disorderly conduct and harassment charges.Police said the two girls were suspended from school for five days."It's good that the teachers found out and put a stop to it," said Rhonda Ahern, a Hillsboro parent. "There has to be a message sent that it's not acceptable."Representatives from the Hillsboro School District wouldn't comment on the case because it is being handled by police and juvenile prosecutors.
