Fifth Annual Bridgeport Village Summer Concert Series

POSTED: 3:23 pm PDT July 10, 2009

The ever-popular community event, the Bridgeport Village Summer Concert Series, returns for the fifth consecutive year with a strong local line-up. This year's nine-week series will feature local entertainment every Thursday evening from 6pm-8pm, and for the first time, will benefit The Foundation's Bridging the Gap for Tigard Tualatin Schools.

Each week concert-goers will be able to help support Bridging the Gap and their efforts to fund one new teacher for each school in the district for the coming school year--a total of 15 teachers. Donations will be taken at the concerts at the Bridging the Gap booth, and a percentage of Wine Garden sales will be donated to the organization. Donors, or "Bridge Builders" will be rewarded at different levels based on their donation amount. Donors giving $20 or more will receive a VIP Savings Certificate with specials and offers from participating Bridgeport Village businesses throughout the series.

The Concert Series will also feature a wine and beer garden provided by Split Wine Bar. A different selection of local wines will be offered each week as well as various microbrews. 2009 will be the first year that beer will be available for purchase at the concert Wine Garden. Food sampling from participating Bridgeport Village restaurants will be available with purchase of a Bite of Bridgeport card, with all card proceeds going to Bridging the Gap. Seating will be available in the wine garden, and family seating will also be available.
