How much would you pay for a date with someone Esquire magazine considers the sexiest woman alive?

A man, only identified as John, paid $30,000 Tuesday night for a date with actress Jessica Biel during a local fundraiser, reported Denver TV station KMGH-TV.

The money goes to help Molly Bloom, a teenager who was seriously hurt May 13 when her prom-night limo dragged her 38 feet. She lost her left leg and part of her pelvis.

The fundraiser, dubbed Mollypalooza, featured East High School bands and auctions for dates with young men.

But the key item up for bid was a date with "7th Heaven" star Biel.

Biel's father, who was first approached about a way the actress could help raise money for Bloom, acknowledged that it's for a good cause.

"She has this opportunity to create a buzz that would provide some support and she's more than happy to do that," said Jon Biel.

He said it was his daughter's idea to hold the auction for a lunch date.

The winner said his name is John and said he's the senior vice president for an oil and gas company in Denver.

Their lunch date will take place Aug. 18, when Biel returns to Colorado to accept a humanitarian award.

The entire fundraiser raked in $44,000, money which will go to help pay Bloom's medical bills. She's now rehabilitating at Children's Hospital.
