The Gresham Police Department is searching for a person of interest in the shooting death of a 24-year-old man.

Gresham police officers said they discovered Richard Lee Travelstead Jr.'s body after responding to reports of shots fired near the Gresham Mobile Court at East Powell Boulevard and Southeast Rene Avenue around 2 a.m. Thursday.

Authorities said they have one person in custody, but they are attempting to locate 25-year-old Gregory Alan Walker Jr. in connection with the shooting.

Walker is described as white, 5 foot 11 inches tall and 145 pounds with light brown hair and brown eyes.

Walker may be driving a red two-door 1993 Oldsmobile with Oregon license plate No. 680CVS.

Walker has been known to possess and carry firearms and should not be approached or confronted.
