Investigators said the man writes the word “Evak” in just about every corner of Portland. He has also left his mark in Bend and along the Oregon coast.

Police said they hope surveillance footage will help them capture the man.

“I think it’s ridiculous that they do this. I know some are artists and they have no where to do it, but it’s ridiculous,” said resident Brandon Tuttle.

Police said the city of Portland spends more than $1 million a year cleaning up grafitti and that “Evak” is a big part of it.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Portland police.
