PORTLAND, Ore. -- A Multnomah County judge issued an arrest warrant charging Christopher Blackwell, 21, with one count of murder in connection with the shooting death of John William Stewart, 31.Police said Stewart was shot while he sat inside his rental car on Southeast 101st Avenue and Division Street just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene, officers said. An autopsy determined Stewart died of a gunshot wound to his torso.Detectives said they believe another car pulled up alongside Stewart's Chrysler Sebring and someone fired at least seven shots at him.
Homicide detectives identified Blackwell as a suspect during the ongoing investigation.Police said Blackwell is a 6-foot, 210-pound white man with brown hair and hazel eyes.
