A man was found shot to death in his north Portland home Friday night.

Police said his roommate returned to the home on North Montana Avenue just after 10 p.m. and found him unconscious and bleeding.

By the time a medical crew arrived, the man, identified as 32-year-old Charles Callaway, was dead, according to police.

Police believe Callaway may have been shot after interrupting a burglary.

His white 2000 Subaru Legacy station wagon, with an Oregon license plate of ZMG072, is missing and may have been stolen by the homicide suspect, police said.

Detectives are asking for help in finding the car. Anyone who sees it is asked to call 911 immediately.

While police were investigating Callaway’s death, another shooting was reported just a few blocks away Saturday morning. Officers arrived to find the body of a black woman in the grass.

Police said there was no information to suggest the two deaths were related.
