Man Accused Of Canned Food Attack Arrested

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A man accused of hurling cans of peas and beans at a store clerk was arrested in Portland on Wednesday, according to the Portland Police Bureau.Investigators said they identified Felaua'I Satele, 29, as the man who attacked a Plaid Pantry store clerk on Nov. 23.
Officers said the clerk refused to sell beer to Satele because he was intoxicated. Satele then became enraged, picking up cans of beans and sweet peas and throwing them at the clerk, police said. He chased the clerk through the store before being restrained, according to officers.
The clerk suffered facial bruises, lacerations and an eye fracture.Satele was arrested without incident at a southeast Portland home Wednesday on one count of second-degree assault. There may be additional charges filed, according to police.
