CLACKAMAS, Ore. -- Clackamas County deputies arrested a man Thursday accused of stealing a tractor from a heavy equipment lot.

Deputies said Darrel Covey and a woman stole a tractor from Northwest Outdoor Equipment on Monday night. Covey may also be responsible for several other burglaries in the area, spanning over the last three months, according to authorities.

During Thursday's investigation, authorities said they found more than $25,000 worth of stolen equipment and tools on a property in Hillsboro. They said Covey had been storing property at the site.

Covey has an extensive criminal record that includes burglary and theft charges, deputies said.

Authorities received a tip from the public after FOX 12 aired surveillance video Wednesday of the tractor heist.
