MOLALLA, Ore. -- Molalla police are searching for three people who were involved in a high-speed chase in a stolen car Thursday morning.Police Officer Scott Douglas said he started following the car after he spotted it speeding past him south of the Marion County line. He clocked the vehicle at about 100 mph."(It was) the kind of speed that when they go by you, it shakes your car," Douglas said.Police said the driver ran red lights as the car headed toward Interstate 5. The driver then started heading the wrong way on I-5 northbound, but Douglas used a PIT maneuver to turn the car around. The driver then exited the freeway in Donald and began throwing things out of his car on Butteville Road, police said.Douglas said the driver pulled up to an area where children were boarding school buses, leading the officer to stop the chase. Authorities searched the area but came up empty. The car was later found abandoned, authorities said.Anyone who finds suspicious items that may have been thrown out the car is asked to turn them in to Molalla police.
