Officers returned an inmate to a county jail Thursday after he was mistakenly released.Deputies said Eric Tyler, 23, of Vancouver, was being held in the intake area of the Clark County Jail on Thursday afternoon when he was mistakenly released.Tyler was being held on a warrant on charges of violation of superior court sentencing and DUI.Officers of the Vancouver Police Career Criminal Apprehension Team found Tyler at his house at about 6:15 p.m. and returned him to the jail, deputies said.Clark County Sheriff Lucas said it was the first walk away escape from the main jail since the late 1980s."While the jail has an excellent security record, we will review the circumstances of the walk away to determine if we need to make improvements to our intake and release processes," Lucas said.He is now also being held on charges of first-degree escape and malicious mischief.
