The manager of a small market believes the person who set fire to her store was caught on camera Saturday.

Police said someone scorched the front of Stop and Go Market on Ellsworth Street in Albany over the weekend. Investigators need help identifying a person seen loitering in the area.

Surveillance cameras captured a man standing in front of the market. Jill Backman, the store's manager, said the man watched from outside as the night shift clerk closed up the shop. Minutes later, Backman's store was set on fire.

"I mean, he was trying to burn my store down?" Backman said. "Was he trying to kill my employee? It's scary that somebody is loose out there. Is he going to do it to somebody else?"

Backman said firefighters extinguished the flames before the fire caused major damage.
