Gresham police officers have arrested a man who is a suspect in eight Gresham-area robberies.

Douglas York, 35, was arrested Wednesday after Troutdale police officers said they found him driving a stolen car.

York was recently identified as a suspect in the robberies after police received tips from a FOX 12 story of a robbery at Maddy's Deli in Clackamas.

York has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, three counts of first-degree robbery and one count of second-degree robbery.

Police said they expect charges to be filed in three other Gresham robberies and the FBI confirmed that York is a suspect in the robbery of a Gresham Wells Fargo Bank.

Of the eight alleged robberies, all but two of them occurred at Dotty's delis. Police said he is also linked to a robbery at Carley's Pizza on June 8.
