Responsible for the supervision and creation of all station advertising, promotion, image campaigns and events. Supervise and direct all Promotion Dept. personnel to achieve the aforementioned goals. Oversee marketing and content of station websites.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise and schedule the creation, writing, and production of on-air promotional messages and graphics that support projects developed for news, programming, sales, and community relations.
Assist news, programming, community affairs, and sales in developing advertising, promotion, and merchandising projects.
Create and supervise agency production and scheduling of radio and print promotional campaigns.
Develop and administer advertising and promotion plan/budget.
Create, write, and produce on-air & web promotional messages as needed.
Supervise direct reports within department.
Oversee station websites. Create and execute strategies.
Minimum Qualifications – All must be met to be considered.
Degree in communications, telecommunications, advertising, marketing, or other related field. 3-5 years previous experience as an Advertising and Promotion Manager or Creative Services Director. Web experience a plus.
Skills and Abilities
Strong working knowledge of television, video and audio production, graphic design and marketing.
Basic understanding of broadcast promotion of news and syndicated programming.
Familiar with audience research, ratings analysis, brand marketing, and media buying.
