Friday, June 4, 2010:
8:45 a.m. Kyron Horman and his stepmother, Terri Moulton Horman, attend a science fair at Skyline Elementary School. Deputies said Terri Horman reported seeing Kyron walk down a hallway toward a classroom.
3:30 p.m. Kyron fails to return home on his school bus as scheduled. His family calls the school.
3:56 p.m. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is first contacted about Kyron's disappearance. They begin to prepare for a search of the area.
4:33 p.m. Sheriff's deputies arrive at the Horman home and at Skyline School. They begin to prepare for a search of the area.
Saturday, June 5:
Noon: The sheriff's office holds a news conference and says the search for Kyron is still a missing person case and not a criminal investigation. Deputies sak that civilian volunteers stay away from the search area to allow for the police agencies to conduct an efficient search.
Sunday, June 6:
10 a.m.: Skyline students and parents return to school so they can be interviewed by detectives about Kyron's disappearance.
9 p.m.: The sheriff escalates Kyron's disappearance to a missing endangered child case, but does not call it a kidnapping.
Monday, June 7:

Noon: Sheriff's deputies hold a briefing and say phone tips have led investigators to search more specific areas, but did not release new information about the case.

Thursday, June 10
Noon: Sheriff's deputies announce hundreds of new searchers have joined the effort, in addition to horse-mounted patrols and a National Guard helicopter.
Friday, June 11 1 p.m.: Kyron's family -- Desiree Young (biological mother), Tony Young (stepfather), Kaine Horman (biological father) and Terri Horman (stepmother) -- makes their first public appearance since his disappearance. Kyron's father and stepfather read statements thanking search and rescue crews and asking people to remain hopeful.

Noon: In a major shift in the case, deputies announced Kyron's disappearance became a criminal investigation and sent search and rescue crews home. They also announced a $25,000 reward for information that leads investigators to the boy.
Monday, June 14:
Noon: Deputies release no new information in their final news conference near Skyline School, but Capt. Jason Gates promises the investigation will "not become a cold case for us." Dive teams search the Columbia River in the Sauvie Island area as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Kyron Horman.
Friday, June 18:
Deputies release a questionnaire to school parents that asks about Kyron Horman's stepmother "in hope that it helps jog people's memory" of the day the boy vanished from school.

Sources tell FOX 12 that a landscaper has told sheriff's detectives that Terri Horman tried to pay him money to kill her husband, Kaine Horman. Sheriff's deputies would not confirm the allegation. Thursday, July 8:
In a court document, Kaine Horman says police gave him probable cause to believe that Terri Horman is involved in Kyron's disappearance.
Saturday, July 17:
Kaine Horman and his 19-month-old daughter move back into their northwest Portland home after Terri Horman agrees to move out.
Sunday, July 25: An attorney for Kaine Horman adds documents to the restraining order demanding to know how Terri Horman allegedly paid her attorney, Stephen Houze, $350,000.
Monday, July 26: DeDe Spicher, identified as a close friend of Terri Horman, is called before a Portland grand jury. Her lawyer later said she didn't testify because "she wasn't asked any questions."
Tuesday, Aug. 10: Multnomah County deputies distribute a flier with pictures of DeDe Spicher, Terri Horman and the Hormans' white F250 pickup truck and ask if anyone saw the women or the truck on June 4.
Wednesday, Aug. 11: Deputies said they wanted to talk with anyone who saw the Hormans' truck in the area near Skyline School, a Fred Meyer store off Cornelius Pass Road in Hillsboro and at a Fred Meyer store off Walker Road in Beaverton.
