Deputies said they have caught a suspect accused of carrying thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine.

Washington County deputies stopped a car late Friday afternoon on Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway and Southwest Murray Boulevard.

Authorities said they found Julio Jacobo-Millan with a half pound of meth and a handgun.

According to police, the meth is worth about $5,000.

Jacobo-Millan was lodged in the Washington County Jail on charges of possession, distribution and manufacturing of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
