Guzman became the second player in Nationals history to accomplish the feat -- Brad Wilkerson did it on April 6, 2005. Guzman also drove in three, while Dukes finished with four RBI for the Nationals, who won their third straight game for the first time since August 4. Manny Ramirez belted a two-run home run for the slumping Dodgers, who dropped their seventh straight outing. Despite their recent futility, the Dodgers remain just 3 1/2 games behind Arizona, which has lost four in a row, for first place in the NL West. Los Angeles will visit the Diamondbacks for three crucial contests beginning on Friday. John Lannan (8-12) won for just the third time at home in 11 opportunities. The 23-year-old yielded two runs, four hits and three walks, while striking out two in six innings. Clayton Kershaw (2-5) suffered his second straight loss after being tagged for five runs on five hits and three walks in only 2 1/3 innings. The 20-year-old picked up two strikeouts in the losing effort. Final Score: Atlanta 4, Florida 2 Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Brian McCann smacked a three-run homer and the Braves pitching staff shut down the powerful Florida lineup, as Atlanta topped the reeling Marlins, 4-2, in the rubber match of a three-game set. Charlie Morton (4-8) pitched well to pick up the win, his second in his last eight starts. The rookie yielded two runs on four hits with a pair of walks and three strikeouts through six innings for the Braves, who had lost eight of their previous 10. Martin Prado added a pair of hits and an RBI, and Chipper Jones went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a walk for the victors. Anibal Sanchez (2-3) battled his way through five innings, picking up the loss after allowing four runs on five hits and five walks for Florida, which has failed to win consecutive games since July 30-31. Luis Gonzalez drove in a run and accounted for half of the Marlins' four hits, as the club now stands six games behind the NL East-leading New York Mets, with whom Florida opens a three-game set at home on Friday. Final Score: Chicago 6, Philadelphia 4 Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Aramis Ramirez hit a go-ahead grand slam as part of a five-run eighth inning, as the Chicago Cubs shocked the Philadelphia Phillies with a 6-4 comeback win in the opener of a four-game set from Wrigley Field. Ryan Madson entered in the eighth with a 4-1 lead but allowed a pinch-hit, leadoff homer to Mike Fontenot. Alfonso Soriano doubled and Ryan Theriot followed with a single forcing Madson from the game in favor of Chad Durbin (5-3), who walked Derrek Lee to load the bases setting up Ramirez' blast. Chicago's surge of offense made a winner out of Bob Howry (6-4), who pitched a scoreless eighth, and Kerry Wood got his 28th save of the season by working around a leadoff single in the ninth. Mark DeRosa's RBI triple in the fifth provided the Cubs' other run. Chicago has now won six in a row and seven of eight to open up a 6 1/2 game lead in the NL Central over Milwaukee. Cubs starter Ryan Dempster was touched for eight hits and four runs while walking four and fanning seven in the no-decision. The Phillies fell to a full game back of the New York Mets in the NL East with their second straight loss. Cole Hamels pitched brilliantly as the starter, holding the Cubs to one run on five hits while striking out six without walking a batter through seven innings.
