McCormick and Schmick's seafood restaurants are looking to attract younger customers with a new vibe.

The Portland Business Journal reports the locally-based restaurant chain is planning an overhaul to its establishments. The company will spend nearly $13 million on televisions and audio systems to create a more relaxed and fun atmosphere.

But not everyone believes a change is necessary.

"There's a bunch of bars around here with TVs," said Jordan Oathes, a McCormick & Schmick's customer. "It's kind of nice to go somewhere with no TVs and just be able to relax and enjoy each other."

Bars and patios will get a makeover at all 94 restaurants in the United States and Canada, according to the report.

McCormick & Schmick's had losses of nearly $15 million in 2009.
