You’ll catch her reporting from community events and locations, show and telling the many wonderful interests and opportunities the Northwest has to offer. She’s also part of the sports team, hosting FOX 12’s high school football show "Friday Night Lights."Born and raised in Portland, Kara attended Jesuit High School and headed to the Midwest, graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 2000.In the summer she enjoys crabbing on the coast, playing golf with her husband Travis, and packing up their dog Maizy for a movie at the Drive-in. Come Fall, she’s on the couch every Saturday watching college football and supporting her "Irish," and year-round loves to hike, cook, water & snow ski, and catch a ball game.
In May 2008, Kara and her husband doubled their family with the birth of twin boys, Tyler and Carter.
