911 Call: Man's Viagra Experiment Goes Wrong

POSTED: 5:19 am PST February 21, 2007

A man in Washington County found out why a prescription is needed for Viagra.

The man called 911 and when asked what he needed medical assistance for, the man said, “I took two Viagra pills and my erection has been up for four days. There haven't been any sign of change whatsoever and I'm really sick."

The man said he has some other side effects as well.

He admitted to the 911 operator that he got the blue pills off the street and that he was already on two other prescriptions, one for depression and one for bi-polar disorder.

Doctors said Viagra should only be taken by those with a prescription and under a doctor's care.
