Parkrose Student Alleges He Was Robbed By Another Student

A local high school student said he was attacked and robbed last week and now he and his family fear it will happen again.

Jacob Angel, a student at Parkrose High School, said he was robbed of $5 last week

Angel said the robbery happened last Tuesday at a bus stop on 122nd Avenue, next to the high school.

Because Angel pressed charges, he and his father are concerned about what happens next at school. They sought a judge’s order Monday for the accused robber to keep his distance.

"The biggest issue here is that Jacob would have to go back to school and still see his assailant day-in and day-out," said Frank Angel, Jacob's father. "That in itself could be quite trying to Jacob."

A judge denied the stalking order they sought against the accused robber, who was charged with third-degree robbery after being arrested last week.

Parkrose High School’s principal said he can’t comment on the case because of confidentiality rules, but he confirmed it’s going through the investigative process.

The Angel family said they are relying on the school, the district attorney and the juvenile court to keep the suspect and their son separated.
