Hillsboro police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who they said robbed a woman's purse after spraying her in the face with a liquid substance.

The robbery occurred at the Willow Creek Max Light rail station at 375 S.W. 185th Ave. at about 9:16 a.m. on March 2. The man sprayed the woman with either mace or pepper spray and then snatched her purse, police said.

The man is described as white, in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and heavy-set. He had a trimmed beard and was wearing a colored hooded sweatshirt and light-colored pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hillsboro police at 503-681-6190.
