Salem police are looking for two men they said hit a legally blind man with their car and sped off.Authorities said two men were harassing Xavier Best while he walked down the street Saturday afternoon on Salem Heights Avenue and Triangled Drive Southeast in Salem.Police said the car sped by Best, swung around and hit him several times until he fell down. Officials said Best is expected to be OK.Investigators are treating the incident as a felony crime.
Best told police the car was a tan 1980s Buick Regal with Oregon license plate No. 244-ALT.Salem police are asking any witnesses to step forward with more information.
