Car Collided Into Mail Truck, Portland Police Say

Portland police said a man was pinned in his car after it collided with a postal delivery truck Monday.

The Portland Police Major Crash Team responded to the collision at North Burgard Road and North Columbia Boulevard at about 2:36 p.m.

Officers said the man drove his Honda Accord into a turning lane and struck the mail truck.

The man driving the Honda was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the mail truck was not injured.

Police are still investigating. North Burgard Road from Lombard Street to Columbia Boulevard is expected to be closed for several hours.
