An accelerant was likely used in three fires found at Pacific University in Forest Grove, investigators said Monday.

The fires were found outside the offices of two faculty members and inside a classroom on the upper floors of Jefferson Hall, which houses the school's optometry department. Officials said the fires were discovered on Friday at about 7 a.m.

Fire crews said they were able to get the fires under control, but that there was minor smoke and fire damage to the building.

There were two janitors inside the building at the time of the fire and they escaped without injury.

Police have not released names of any suspects in their investigation.
