A Hillsboro teacher is off the job and facing theft charges for allegedly trying to sell a third-grade school student's jacket on eBay.Elizabeth Logan, 41, a first-grade teacher at Jackson Elementary, has been put on paid administrative leave following the allegations. The grand jury indictment against Logan showed she is facing first-degree theft and felony computer crime charges. The mother of the child, who is known only as Nancy, said she was outraged when her daughter's missing Columbia Sportswear jacket appeared on eBay.Nancy said she checked the lost and found and put up fliers around the school. She eventually began shopping for a replacement jacket on eBay and said that's where she found the missing coat. The mother brought the information to the attention of the school and Hillsboro police, who took over the investigation."It upset me so badly that someone could be dishonest like that," said Nancy. "Honestly, it was the last thing on my mind that it would be a staff member."Logan's husband told FOX 12 that he can't comment on the case, but that people would soon see it is all a big misunderstanding.Logan is expected to appear in a Washington County courtroom on Friday.
