A Hillsboro teacher accused of stealing a student's coat and trying to sell it on eBay has resigned, school officials said.

The Hillsboro School Board said it accepted the resignation of Elizabeth Logan at a public board meeting Tuesday.

Logan was a first-grade teacher at Jackson Elementary School. She was put on paid administrative leave following the allegations.

Last week, she pleaded not guilty to one count of first-degree theft and one count of unlawful use of a computer.
