Police hope to get a one-and-a-half year-old black bear to a forested area after it was caught in a residential area in Vancouver.

The bear was first reported around 5 a.m. Friday near Southeast 136th Avenue and McGillivray Boulevard and could be seen from AIR 12 running near the Sunshine Terrace Apartment complex. AIR 12 Video

Fish and wildlife officers shot at least four tranquilizer darts into the bear's side.

Animal control waited for the tranquilizer darts to fully take effect before they put the bear in a small trailer where it will be taken to its natural habitat.
