A man accused of kidnapping women and holding them as sex slaves was found guilty by a jury Tuesday.A jury found Vance Roberts, 52, guilty on all counts. In 1991, Roberts and his brother were accused of kidnapping young prostitutes and bringing them back to their home in Hillsboro, where authorities said they set up an elaborate sexual torture chamber.Roberts admitted some of the charges Tuesday, but he said everything was consensual."I put some handcuffs on her wrist and she was OK with that," Roberts said. "(I put) a piece of duct tape over her mouth and a pillow case over her head, she didn't like it so I immediately took it off."Prosecutors, however, said the women were forced to engage in demeaning and abusive sex for days at a time. They also said Roberts beat the women and threatened to kill them. The jury was shown boxes of evidence, most of which Roberts admitted to using.Police said Roberts and his brother installed soundproofing and put bars on the inside of the windows so no one could escape. But Roberts said he paid the women extra for engaging in bondage and claimed they all agreed to it.Roberts' sentencing is set for Aug. 3.
