A tractor trailer rollover closed northbound Interstate 5 at Terwilliger curves during Thursday morning's commute.
The rollover occurred just before 6 a.m., blocking all three lanes of I-5.Investigators said that the 42,000-pound load of steel came loose on the truck as it passed through the Terwilliger curves, pulling the big rig on to its side. There were no injuries reported in the rollover. The driver of the truck, 53-year-old Timothy Floyd, was cited for careless driving, false log book, leaking or shifting load and exceeding working load limits.Oregon Department of Transportation officials urged drivers to avoid the area if possible and suggested taking Interstate 205 or Highway 217.
