FOX 12 talked to the owner of Tenly Market on June 19 and she said she checks the dates of foods every day and removes the food from the shelves if it is past the pull date, not for health reasons, but to maintain the store's reputation.

The owner said she did not think she was selling any food past the pull date. However, when we ask looked at the food on the shelves, with her permission, we found dozens of items past the pull date, including baby food, ice cream, meats and milk.

The owner said that she did not know that all of that food past the pull date was on the shelves and that she inherited some stock from the Apple Market, which used to operate out of the same building, and that she paid good money for it.

She said her workers do not all speak English, and therefore may have trouble reading the dates and pulling the foods when they are past date.
