Salem Firefighters Battle Blaze At Sheet Metal Business

Salem fire crews battled a two-alarm blaze Tuesday morning at a sheet metal business.

The fire broke out around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday at Braka Industries on Claxter Road Northeast.

Fire crews said they found flames shooting from the dust collection room in the back of the business when they arrived at the scene.

Firefighters had the flames under control within about 20 minutes, containing the fire to the one room.

The loss is estimated at $60,000.

There were no injuries reported in the fire.
