AMBOY, Wash. -- A man wanted on child rape charges disappeared with his family last week, according to Clark County authorities.Deputies are still asking for help in finding Jeff and Kim Spady and their four children, who left their Amboy home Sept. 7.
The children, who deputies said were not the alleged victims in the rape case, were about to be taken into state custody because of the pending sexual assault case against Jeff Spady. There is no arrest warrant out for Kim Spady, but deputies said she is not allowed custody of the children. The children were last seen getting into their mother’s dark blue 2001 Ford Expedition with a Washington license plate of 146 RKK.Deputies said the family may be living in a trailer camper. The 1986 19-foot-long coachman is off-white in color with orange and brown stripes. It has a Washington license plate of 7174UB and has minor damage to the front-right corner. It also has as pare tire mounted to the rear bumper. The Spady family may be traveling to Canada and family members might be helping the couple hide their children, deputies said.Family members described Spady as a survivalist who is knowledgeable in camping and fishing. He is also known to own high-power rifles, but deputies don’t know if he has any guns with him.Anyone with information is asked to call 360-397-2108, or after hours dispatch at 360-696-4461.
