An Aloha man accused of forcing a runaway girl into prostitution in the Los Angeles area has been arrested.

Deandre Green, 25, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of compelling and promoting prostitution.

In May, a 15-year-old girl was reported as missing to Beaverton police. Three months later, police tracked her down in Los Angeles, where officers found Green and the girl inside a hotel room, authorities said.

Green was advertising prostitution services involving the teen on Craigslist in Los Angeles, according to police.

Officers said the investigation into Green's involvement with the teen is still ongoing. They said he may have taken the girl to several Western states. The girl has since been returned to her family.

According to the Beaverton Police Department, it was one of several recent cases of runaway girls being involved in prostitution.

On Aug. 30, two runaway girls were arrested on prostitution charges at the Lamplighter Motel on Park Way in Beaverton. One of the girls was a 15-year-old girl from Portland and the other was a 17-year-old girl from Gresham.

They had both been advertising sexual services on Craigslist, police said.

Six days earlier, a 21-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl reported as a runaway in Washington were found at the Extended Stay Hotel in Beaverton after they advertised sex services on Craigslist, police said.
