'Waddling Bandit' Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A man the FBI believes to be the "Waddling Bandit" was arrested Friday on Interstate 5 in southwest Washington.Robert Christie, 71, of Tillamook, is accused of as many as 20 bank robberies in the past two years.FBI agents searched Christie's home and said they found information that led them to believe he may be in the Vancouver area Friday night.He was taken into custody by Clark County deputies.The FBI gave the bank robber the "Waddling Bandit" nickname because of the way he walks.A $10,000 reward was being offered for information that led to his arrest and conviction.PREVIOUS:
