Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue was called to a home on Southwest Greenfield Drive at about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday and found smoke coming from the second floor of the home.

While extinguishing the blaze, firefighters said they discovered a body.

Police are still awaiting an autopsy for positive identification of the victim, but investigators said they believe the body is that of 21-year-old Alla Bogdanov. According to police, Bogdanov occasionally stayed at the home while she attended a nearby school.

Investigators have identified 30-year-old Mikkal Buxton as a person of interest in death investigation. Investigators said Buxton was scheduled to meet with Bogdanov sometime on Wednesday at the Tigard home.

Buxton is believed to be driving a blue 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
