PORTLAND, Ore. -- A man accused of leading police on a wild chase from Vancouver to Portland appeared in court Wednesday.

Nicholas Loredo, who had been wanted in connection with a motel robbery, was arrested in northeast Portland on Tuesday night.

He led officers on the chase in a stolen pickup truck, before ditching it on Interstate 205 in Portland and running off on foot, according to police.

On Wednesday, he was officially charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, felony attempt to elude and misdemeanor attempt to elude.
