BEAVERTON, Ore. -- As TriMet moves forward with plans to make MAX trains safer, a Beaverton man is warning riders to be extra careful after he was attacked on a train on Monday night.Chanto Lange told FOX 12 he was riding a westbound train toward Beaverton Monday night when two teenagers started making fun of a disabled passenger.Lange said he confronted the two teenagers and the pair started hitting him and shoved him into a pole. Lange suffered two black eyes and received six stitches in his nose.Beaverton police later arrested 19-year-old Darren Gonzales in connection with the attack.

They’re not going to be on there 24-7,” said Lange.TriMet’s new safety plan is expected to cost more than $5 million a year.
