Man Attacked On MAX Train

Portland police and TriMet officials are searching for a group of teenage boys they said attacked a man on a MAX train Sunday evening.

The attack happened near the MAX station on Southeast 122nd Avenue and East Burnside Street just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Emergency dispatchers said a group of teenage boys attacked a man on the train and ran off.

The victim, who has not been identified, was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries, according to police.

Police searched the surrounding area, but they were unable to locate the teens.

TriMet said what happened prior to the attack is unclear.

Anyone with information is urged to call Portland police.
