Family Asks For Help In Finding Missing Woman

The family of a Portland woman is asking for the public’s help in finding a 37-year-old woman.

Heidi Anderson was last seen at 5 p.m. Feb. 8 in the area of Northeast 80th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard.

Her family said she got out of a friend’s car after becoming extremely agitated. She then boarded a bus that was headed toward downtown.

Her family said Anderson may have been suffering from a medical condition when she dashed from the car.

Detectives called the case unusual, but they said there’s no sign of foul play or crime.

Some of her belongings were found in Laurelhurst Park, but police believe she may have left the items there.

Police said Anderson has no history of mental health problems or drug and alcohol abuse. Her parents said the disappearance is out of character for her.

“She is a smart woman and I’m sure she’s going to survive if we can just find her,” said Richard Anderson, Heidi’s father.

Heidi Anderson is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a gray parka over a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, hiking boots and a black hat with snowflakes on it.

Anyone with information on Anderson’s location is asked to call police.
