UPDATED: 8:26 am PST February 16, 2008

A car in an Aloha neighborhood went up in flames Friday morning and deputies think an arsonist is responsible.

A 911 call sent firefighters to a home on Southwest Vienna Drive at 4:55 a.m. Friday.

The victims said they woke up to unusual noises that morning. They heard their car alarm, rushed to their window and saw their 1999 Mitsubishi engulfed in flames.

A neighbor said the fire jumped from the car to the home before Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue firefighters arrived and put out the flames.

The victims said they received harassing phone calls earlier in the night and those phone calls may be linked to the arson.

Deputies said the person responsible for setting the fire had fled the scene before they arrived. No one was hurt in the fire.

Anyone with information is asked to call 503-629-0111.
