CHEHALIS, Wash. -- A fire damaged a building used to store furniture for flood victims Tuesday in Chehalis.Black smoke rose from the Chehalis Eagles building at about 10 a.m. and firefighters responded from the city and nearby districts.The United Way of Lewis County has used the building as a warehouse and distribution center for victims of December’s flooding in Lewis County.A firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling the blaze. The cause of the fire is unknown.Flooding hit Chehalis hard in December and caused a 20-mile stretch of Interstate 5 to close for four days because the freeway was under water.
