Man Arrested After Transit Center Shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Police arrested a Fairview man after a shooting at the Gateway Transit Center MAX station Tuesday night.John Hutchens, 71, is accused of shooting a man in the finger.The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated.Police said they took a semiautomatic handgun from Hutchens after the incident. They don’t know what led to the shooting and it didn’t appear that Hutchens and the man knew each other.
TriMet routes weren’t interrupted by the shooting.
